Kylix 3 Open Edition frozen?

Hi everyone, after some work i managed to download kylix 3 open
edition (over 300mb), after installing it i ran the delphi ide (kylix
ships with c++ builder now, there's to start scripts) and the 1st time
was clean and ok, the next time, i tried opening a project and kylix
froze.
i killed it and opening it again, then i went to open a project and it
froze again.
i restarted X, just to be sure. same in here. 
i rebooted, sama in here.

if i work with the blank project that kylix gives when it starts then
it works very well. as soon as i tried to open a project then it crashes.

i've been trying to get a solution, i tried freeing memory, i tried
running kylix passing as a command line the project file... 
anyone got the same problem?
any workaround?
