This can be dangerous. In our case we have the governor's office and many state agencies as clients and their calls come in as "unknown". It would be a disaster for us not to answer them. What is even worse for us is that when we moved last year we were assigned a new and desirable number for our area code, we thought. Turns out, Bristol-Myers-Squibb, no small concern, has an 800 number with the same exchange and number. Worse yet, it's for their Human Resources Dept. We suffer dozens of these "wrong numbers" each day from people who apparently have dislexia or something when it comes to seeing the number "800".
