Look at FlashFiler in SourceForge

I haven't used it, but TurboPower always had very good products an now is
available as open source.

What components would I use if I do not want to include BDE? I need to
be able to create and maintain a few small data files, but I don't want
to bother writing and debugging procedures for inserting, modifying,
finding, and deleting records in the file (although I have some old
existing code for doing such, it would be a pain to adapt it for my
current project).
