Go in Projects, then Options (Presuming D5 here), and click on the
Compiler
tab; unclick Optimization; go pack in Projects, and click on Rebuild
Project. If you are also having difficulty following the call stack,
turn
on Stack Frames as well (but only during debugging). When code is
optimized, the sequencing of operations is not necessarily integral to
that
which was detailed in your code; this makes pinpointing specific lines
somewhat more difficult, and tracing local variables nearly impossible.
Optimization is turned on by default.

Just tried that and the pesky thing will still not allow a valid
breakpoint...

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Cheers
