Yes, I remember something like that. I don't think that this is the reason.

At first I installed Topaz as needed. Then, when I saw the problem I simpli
copied the UNITS directory from the old computer, recompiled, and still had
the problem. Then I found TOPAZ_D5.bpl and TOPAZ_D5.dcp in ...\bpl  and
copied them as well from the old to the new computer. This solved the
problem, but still I do not have the correct units although they are
identical in size and date.

Didn't we have to do something in Topaz.inc?  Not that it will matter as
this too was copied from the old computer. Maybe there is a difference in
DBGrids ??? I simply don't remember.

Another problem I have is that when I installed components on the old
computer - some are 4 years old - some of them installed into weird
packages. Installing them again makes program not compile !!! This is really
a bitch and I do not know how to work around it.

A Question: In the *.DOF of each program there is a list of packages.
Something like:

Packages=Vcl50;Vclx50;VclSmp50;Vcldb50;vclado50;ibevnt50;Vclbde50;vcldbx50;Q
rpt50;TeeUI50;TeeDB50;Tee50;Dss50;TeeQR50;VCLIB50;Vclmid50;vclie50;Inetdb50;

Is this a list of what is NEEDED (supposedly) or of what EXISTS?

Where can I find and change the list of needed packages for a particular
program ???
