You should remove this line:

   <option name="garbage_collector" value="boehm"/>

from the file $GOBO/src/gexslt/ge.xace.

Colin, is it possible to regenerate the file gobo38-src.tar.gz
without the environment variable $BOEHM_GC being set? Thanks.
