SmartEiffel itself is written is Eiffel. The 2.1 tools have 126472 LOC.

We don't hesitate. Our implementation choice is clear. But some feel 
unhappy with it and say it loud (as it is their right).

The next release, certainly 2.2, will be even more enterprise-oriented, 
with a lot of new library features, such as a network library, a process 
control library, and a better interface with external languages (such as 
C, java...)
