I actually had to read INSTALL for the first time in a long time. I guess you are using the new Build.PL sematics. I am using perl 5.6.1 with these results: [268] $ perl ./configure --prefix=/home/persicom/local Building with perl: perl Subroutine catfile redefined at /home/persicom/local/src/Class-MethodMaker-2.03/make-pm line 223.
