Re: relocation error, LD_LIBRARY_PATH seems ok

This usually means that the perl binary that is executed is not compatible
with the DBlib.so binary. You either have several copies of perl on the
machine, and the path is picking up the wrong one, or the DBlib.so (and
related files) has been copied from a different machine.

Hi All,

Mysteriously over the weekend one of my environments has broken, I am
getting the following error:

bash-2.03$ ./test.pl
ld.so.1: /usr/local/bin/perl: fatal: relocation error: file
/export/home/crd-sit/site_perl/sun4-solaris/auto/Sybase/DBlib/DBlib.so:
symbol perl_get_sv: referenced symbol not found
Killed

The $SYBASE and $LD_LIBRARY_PATH  seem to be correct (see below)

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/apps/open_client/current/solaris/lib
PATH=/usr/local/bin:/local/bin:/usr/bin::/apps/open_client/current/solaris/bin

PERLLIB=:/export/home/crd-sit/site_perl:/export/home/crd-sit/site_perl/sun4-solaris

SYBASE=/apps/open_client/current/solaris

Does anyone have any ideas?
