Yes the admin tried that and it still gave the error.

For now we have commented out all of the Compress calls.

Does anyone know if we really need to call that? Or is that mainly if the
file is getting too big???

I'm using a much older version or API2 than you, but compress seems to lead
back to the module:

Compress::Zlib

 

 

You might want to try installing that via cpan and of the other compression
modules:

Compress::Zlib

IO::Compress::Bzip2

IO::Compress::Gzip

IO::Compress

Hello,
I've had some API2 code working for a long time but moving to a new server
we are now getting this error:

Can't locate object method "compress" via package "PDF::API2::Content::Text"

The line of text is:

$txt1-> compress;

Has that been removed from the package? And if so what is the workaround? Or
do we not need to do that anyway?

We are using PDF::API2 version 0.73
