What would help me has more to do with my ignorance than with the plugin
itself. So its a suggestion that the POD explains some basics for
dummies like me.

Why would I want to use this plugin? Perhaps an example of use (i.e.
what it does to actual data, as opposed to how to call it). In
particular, why do I unescape data in the View? Why doesn't unescaping
happen in the Controller?
