I also have similar feeling

Also, perl has excellent support site - www.perlmonks.org, and may be 
such a good quality support site did 80% of such helpful and growing 
perl comunity how it is now.

CPAN is centralized archive, perlmonks is centralized support, both give 
very strong boost every day.

BTW ruby has rubygarden and rubyforge.

Well, I hope Tcl/Tk will also have something like this...
