Re: Is PTK a dead end? Or [ UpdateWrapper woes ]

What exactly needs 'timing hacks' in order to work properly.  I have 
plenty of scripts
that work on both Linux and Windows without any problems.  Tk is event 
driven
not time based...  If you could provide an example, it might make things 
clearer.

In the one line you provided earlier it seemed you were just trying to 
restore
the main window from the Windows taskbar.  Why was it iconified?  Normally
the Tk windows appear in the normal, non-iconified state.

As far as PTk being dead...  The list has been rather quiet lately but 
that isn't
unusual.  Unless someone has a problem or is announcing a new version
of widget-xx.yy, it's pretty low traffic...
