Very true.
Python classes, as an example, were much more prototypic than
classes of C++, for instance. They were built as objects,
with some special lookup methods added, in order to mimick
something like C++ classes. But no special object layout,
method tables, virtual/inherited/public/published whatsoever
as you find in Delphi/Borland C++ and such.
The object model still tried to be as simple as possible.
Everything was done by lookup rules, for the good or the bad,
I can't tell.
