Hi all, I'm not sure anyone has tried this before, but I just tried running Strongtalk under Wine on Ubuntu 5.10 (running in VMware's browser appliance, i.e. virtually), and it appears to run just fine! I was able to create classes, categories, and methods and save the image. It appeared to be quite stable; all features appeared to work. It did not crash once (although I had to ensure that the sources directory was not readonly, which initially caused some errors). The *only* oddity was that the 'bullet' symbol used in the UI is apparently not in the font Wine chose, which is not surprising. So actually, since Gilad was able to run Strongtalk on the Mac under Parallels, we can actually run Strongtalk acceptably on Windows, Linux and Mac *right now*. This is was in a deeply nested virtual environment (Wine on Linux on VMWare on Windows); pretty amazing. -Dave --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Strongtalk-general" group.
