Hi John

basically I want to develop my own ports for experimental smallish
processors (let's say small application-specific processors). From the
existing targets I would like to either polish the incomplete MIPS
backend or to write a DLX backend (about 90% the same to a MIPS-I
backend). My host environments are Cygwin/x86 and Linux Redhat 9.0.
What I really lack of is a guide for "building" MLRISC (and ckit by
the way since i wnat to generate MLTREEs from C) given that the sml
environment is set up properly. Thus, I intend to use MLRISC as a
basis for developing compiler backends for C programs.
