openldap - 2.4.7-6ubuntu4.1
apache - 2.2.8-1
php - 5.2.4-2ubuntu5 
OS - Ubuntu Hardy

The hint element is being ignored in both existing templates:
ou.xml

as well as custom templates. It exists in the templates, but doesn't appear on the screen, (in either Firefox 3.0b5 or Epiphany 2.22.1.1).
