Category: None Group: 1.2.x >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Steve Polyack (spolyack) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Creation templates get used for modification post creation Initial Comment: When using templates (other than default) to create a new object in an LDAP tree, it appears that after creating said object the creation template is then used to view the result. This results in confusion, as defaults specified within the creation template are used instead of the actual values stored in the LDAP object. My suggestion is to either use the "default" template to display the object post-creation or automatically switch to a modification template of the same name as the creation template. Reproducing this is trivial: Create a template with a <value>value</value> default for any attribute. Create an object using that template but modify the attribute with the <value> tags, confirm the values and click Submit, you are then redirected to the resulting object - look at the object and you will see the value from the creation template in place of the actual value. Use Switch Template at the top of the page to switch to the default object and you can in fact see that the correct value is stored in the attribute. I am using phpldapadmin-1.2.0.5 on FreeBSD 8, connecting to an OpenLDAP-2.4.20 server. The PHP version is 5.2.11. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Deon George (wurley) Date: 2011-04-25 22:30 Message: Thanks for this bug report - it was something I did mean to fix.
