Initial Comment:
In PLA 1.2 support for ['login', 'auth_type', 'cookie'] seems to have gone missing. However, this is still mentioned as one of the four supported methods in config.php.examle. If cookie is removed as a supported authentication type then this should probably be changed in the shipped config.php.example. Especially those coming from 1.1.x releases before (like me) would be prone to selecting this auth type in the config...

Actually, I've just re-enabled cookie as a valid auth_type. Committed to
