-bash-2.05b$ php -v
PHP 4.3.8 (cgi) (built: Aug 19 2004 15:19:38)
Copyright (c) 1997-2004 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v1.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2004 Zend Technologies

i have the feeling that is due to 4.3.8. on other system with 4.3.10
there is no such problem...

i guess is should upgrade anyway 4.3.8 has the isset bug jmc
encountered some time ago...
