I wound up adding a method called setExampleText() to both FXFontDialog and FXFontSelector

So I can send it any text I need.

Haven't looked at the text, but will chime in that "example text" for font selection needs to include the following in this order:

O0l1L{}`'%_-|

Those tend to be the most problematic. On Windows in Thunderbird that last pipe character is just a solid bar instead of the two mushed dots it is supposed to be.

In FXFontDialog some example text is shown so you can see how the new font looks. I’d like to add some Unicode characters to this example text so the user can see if they are contained in the new font selected. I don’t see how I can do this? I see it’s a label in FXFontSelector but I don’t see how to access it.

Kind regards,
