but the problem is that Wayland is going to stay and for certain
things (like HDR monitor support in game development) Wayland is
going to be the only solution since X11 refuses to add this
support. So sooner or later FOX is going to have the problem that,
although it sucks, Wayland will be what you have to support in
addition to X11, as sad as it is.</p>

<p>The problem with Wayland . . . is it sucks. They tried for "One
Ring To Rule Them All" without watching the Lord of the Rings
movies to see how that turned out. There was absolutely no
reason to force their virtual reality N-dimensional vision onto
a desktop. You can't even save an application window position
and reopen it in the same place. People been used to that since
GUI DOS (Windows prior to NT).</p>
<p>As an embedded systems person in the medical device world I can
tell you that XWayland sh*t don't work! It's a rental car
company's definition of "full sized."</p>
