X.org isn't maintaining X11. Yes, the sphincter in charge of
XLibre uses Agile/DevOps so by definition pushes broken code,
but X.org isn't going forward and Wayland is a hand polished
turd.

Many projects, both commercial and Open-Source, have demanded
that the Wayland fools FIX XWayland so it is 100% X11
compatible. Yes, some desktops have went "pure Wayland" and they
are losing users.

Just my 0.0002 cents.

Having said that, for my LsCs, LsX, and BasisDoctrina projects,
I'm in the process of rebasing to SDL3 for low level platform
sh*t so the application framework doesn't have to carry the
baggage Qt, CopperSpice, and others do. Baggage that started
with OS/2.

I don't have any customers/client/projects currently using Fox
but I respect how the library side-stepped platform specific
headers and such. That said, one cannot have Serial Ports,
D-Bus, and other low level things when they side step the OS
specific stuff. =F0=9F=98=B2 That's kinda where my embedded world=
exists.

Personally I think the Fox project should just kick back and
wait to see who wins the pissing contest.=C2=A0

Either XWayland will be fixed to be 100% X11 as industry has
demanded __OR__ XLibre, with or without the sphincter, will
become the new standard.

MAC/Apple users will have to nut-up. They will have to test the
automated MAC/Apple builds of the XLibre project and make fixes
to the source when something doesn't work. The XLibre project
does not have Apple hardware (no great sin there) and nobody
currently involved with the project is a fan of Apple (highly
commendable really).=C2=A0

Per the mailing list and discussion area, they do actually have
a MAC/Apple build that successfully builds. There is no one to
test or debug it. Welcome to the true Linux experience. You have
to build the universe when you arrive. It doesn't come
pre-packaged.

for certain things (like HDR monitor support in game
development) Wayland is going to be the only solution since
X11 refuses to add this support. So sooner or later FOX is
