i agree completely on all points, being a near-rabid-anti-M$-pursist
myself...that's why i put in the e-snicker after mentioning the SplashConfig
object. it was just a toy hack to swap out the splash.bmp file & enable it
at boot...it'll only take a few more lines of code to add a checkbox & a
textfield (for the image path) in whatever gui pane i choose to put it
in...if i put it in.
about the EmacsConfig...i realize that a massive amount of people use emacs,
i just happen to not be one of them. like i said, no EmacsConfig
_for_now_...i'll get around to it.
any other thoughts?
