Riccardo,

I agree that a release is overdue, without a doubt. There have been a lot
of fixes, and we need to give ourselves some time to make certain we have
time to stabilize everything.

The general schedule sounds reasonable to me.  During the freeze, we should
focus on regression testing and fixing release-blocking issues. No new
features.
