Hi,

I work for IBM and this site and set of tools has been most invaluable
for
developing and testing software locale support.

1. LocaleExplorer bug?

While I was using the LocaleExplorer to check LocalePatternStrings, I've
noticed a problem in display (probably a typo). In Localized Date
Pattern
Chars table, #1 entry Meaning should be Year. But when displayed on a
Japanese locale environment (ie. WinXP - JP), the Japanese symbol for
the
currency, "Yen (0xE58686" (円) is shown. It should show the symbol for
year, which is the "Nen (0xE5B9B4)" (年) symbol.

2. Where is the standard for LocalePatternStrings?

I see all the mappings using LocaleExplorer and Locale Source files, but
could not find where it originates (standard) in FAQ nor on web-search,
and not find where to post this question. I would appreciate any
assistance on this issue.

Thanks in advance,
