Drivers for cardreader GemPlus GCR420

Hello,

For the last couple of days I've been trying hard to get my Cherry keyboard 
working properly. It has a cardreader built in. The specs of the keyboard are:

Model:  RS 6700ADD
Part No.: G83-6721LPADE/ 00
Serial No.: G1165299 4M17 4 3
Its connected via PS/2.

I think the cardreader is a GCR420 from GemPlus, but I'm not shure as the 
manual that came with the keyboard is a little unclear on this.

Is it possible to get the cardreader of the keyboard up and running with 
libchipcard? Or do you know any other way to make use of the cardreader?
