Problem with external Towitoko Cardreader

Hi !

I just downloaded and installed the following versions:
    towitoko-2.0.7a
    gwenhywfar-1.9.0
    libusb-0.1.10a
    opensc-0.9.4
    openct-0.6.2
    sysfsutils-1.2.0
    libchipcard2-1.9.11beta

lsusb gives:

uname -a:

The cardreader is a 'Towitoko CHIPDRIVE extern 330 V4.30' (USB)
and apparently it has the ID 067b:2303 Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2303 Serial Port
(at least that line vanishes from lsusb when I unplug the reader).

I've installed the above libchipcardversion according to the
german installation guide provided on the webpage. Communication
between client and server apparently works. Only the reader is
not recognized (though connected).

The reader _is_ working as I verified by booting "that other OS".

Anything else I could/should provide ?
