Sorry, there was a word missing :-) I meant we are unable to reach Harald.

Would do you mean by "application needs OpenCT"? If you mean that the program 
depends on the API of OpenCT then this will never be implemented in 
Libchipcard2 (because that would create a copy of OpenCT).

If you mean you need OpenCT to drive the reader (because Libchipcard2 is 
unable to speak to the reader), then I will have to work on Libchipcard2 to 
actually support the reader.

However, as I said before: Libchipcard2 uses CTAPI and IFD drivers directly, 
so if you have such a driver I can add it to Libchipcard2's supported drivers 
list. This would make Libchipcard2 automatically detect the reader and start 
it on demand.

I would need the USB id (lsusb) together with the usual paths and name of the 
driver. (I'm not sure whether you already submitted this information, I have 
been quite busy the last few weeks).

BTW: Once you have the reader running with Libchipcard2 you can use OpenSC 
with Libchipcard2, also.
