I have written a data-profiler for use with itl/mtl and have used it to profile our own C++ applications here in TCD. I would be interested in cooperating with people developing applications based on itl/mtl with a view to joint publication of results.

Currently the profiler only handles double-precision data but could easily be extended to other types, and compiles both under VC++6.0 and Linux/gcc. I have documentation and a script which can be used to insert calls to the profiler automatically in a copy of your application code, so there is no need to share source code or data unless you want to.

If you are interested in cooperation (or even if you are not) please email me at mailto:[email protected] with a brief description of your application, your affiliation etc..

For legacy Fortran applications I have also written a Fortran90 version of the profiler and would be very interested in cooperation here also, although the profiler has not been as thoroughly tested as the C++ version and I have not written an automatic insertion script as yet. Currently the Fortran90 version compiles and runs under Lahey Fortran for Windows and the Intel Fortran compiler for Linux.
