MTL performances using linux

Hi all,

I am testing C++ libraries to be used in my simulation project. In order 
to measure relative performance of different available libs, I built a 
generic benchmark application :

Unfortunately I have been unable to obtain good performances on my linux 
box.
Is it possible to improve my MTLinstallation using gcc  ? (in particular
to install BLAIS implementation)
