Re: 0.8.2 candidate

The thing is that the warnings may be helpful when porting to 64-bit, so 
casting them away would be a disservice. It's probably better to add 
#pragmas or build options to turn the specific warnings off for now, so 
they can be re-enabled for the 64-bit port.
