If you run VS7, you have or will soon discover this. I have discussed it with MS and they have confirmed that it is a bug in VS7. If you put all of your assemblies in the same directory (as .NET expects), and one of the assemblies references another in that directory, and the size of the referenced assembly is > 64K, you get the error. That's the MS line anyway. How this wasn't caught in beta testing is beyond me. Why MS didn't release a fix *immediately* is beyond me. The workaround is to put the assembly referencing wx.NET.dll into a different directory. Or do what I'm doing and move over to Linux and Mono.
