Strange... I'm afraid I still don't really understand what you mean. From what I can tell, people have had problems setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH from shell startup scripts. I'm not trying to do that, maybe later that might bite me. right now, I just want to run the demos. I can export LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to the Bin directory and it doesn't work. do you mean platforms other than ubuntu have more things in LD_LIBRARY_PATH by default?
