Callgirl, First of all, do you have the Localtalk Option Card installed in the Imagewriter, and configured the Imagewriter's dip switch to recognize it? I'm not sure what the Keyspan is. I'm assuming it's an Ethernet to Localtalk adapter. Is it plugged into your computer's Ethernet port? If that's the case, you need to have Appletalk enabled under "built-in Ethernet". If you're using an Airport network, Appletalk needs to be enabled under "Airport". Either way, your Imagewriter speaks Appletalk and Appletalk needs to be enabled in either Built-In Ethernet or Airport. In Print Center, you should select "Appletalk" and the Imagewriter should magically appear as "Printer1 (AppleTalk ImageWriter)" under the printer list. If you're comfortable doing so, open Terminal and type in atlookup. This will display all the devices on your Appletalk network. It should look like this: [Callgirls-Powerbook:~] callgirl% atlookup Found 4 entries in zone * ff63.87.fc Asant?Talk 94B8BA79:Asant?Talk ffc9.b9.80 Callgirl?s Powerbook:Darwin ffc9.b9.81 Callgirl?s Powerbook:AFPServer ff63.88.8a Printer1:ImageWriter [Callgirls-Powerbook:~] callgirl% You're looking specifically for the "Printer1:ImageWriter" to be there. If it isn't, you need to fix your network settings. I think it's unlikely that your problem is related to the foomatic and ghostscript files as it sounds like you installed them correctly. Hope this helps. Please post with your reply.
