You need to explicit define the load step for your next increment. For example:
*Heading
** Job name: Job-2 Model name: Test
** Generated by: Abaqus/CAE 2016
*Preprint, echo=NO, model=NO, history=NO, contact=NO
*Restart, read, step=1, inc=15, end step
*Step
*Static
1.0, 1.0
*End Step

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [Abaqus] Restart abaqus
Hello Everyone,
I would like to restart a simulation, for example after increment 15 and stop the simulation after the next increment is done.
For this, I generate the restart file. My restart looks like this:
*Heading
** Job name: Job-2 Model name: Test
** Generated by: Abaqus/CAE 2016
*Preprint, echo=NO, model=NO, history=NO, contact=NO
*Restart, read, step=1, inc=15, end step
But I get an erroe in the dat file that ***ERROR: A RESTART ANALYSIS MUST HAVE A STEP DEFINITION! .
Does anyone have an idea how can I run the restart just for 1 increment. I know I can edit the old inp file, but I want to do it with the restart file.
Thank for your help in advance!!
Regards,
Aditya.
