CSC05 Workshop: some details

Dear Colleagues,
Thanks to all of you who have submitted  extended abstracts for the CSC05
Workshop being held at Toulouse from June 21--23, 2005.
The submission deadline was Feb 21, and currently the members of
the organizing committee are reviewing the abstracts.
We expect to send out decisions  on acceptances of the submitted talks
in two weeks time, so as to be timely  for those who need to
obtain  permission for travel from their sponsoring agencies.

Information about registration, hotels, travel, invited speakers, etc. is
available at the CSC05 web site,  www.cerfacs.fr/algor/CSC05 .
Registration is currently open, and *we encourage participants to register
early to help the local organizing committee with the logistics*.
A poster session and cocktail reception  is planned for the evening
of June 21st, and a conference dinner is planned on the evening of
June 22nd. The  best poster will be given a prize  at the Workshop,
so do participate!
We are encouraging students to participate through low registration fees,
and limited support for their local accommodations.

It is a pleasure for me to thank the members of the local organizing
committee, Patrick Amestoy, Iain Duff, Luc Giraud, Serge Gratton, and
Brigitte Yzel, for the great job they have done and are doing in obtaining
support for the workshop, organizing the web site,
handling the submissions, etc.

Finally, although the deadline for submissions of 2 page extended
abstracts is past,  we are currently accepting abstracts.
So if you needed more time to prepare  your abstract,
please feel free to submit one in the next two weeks.
Please also encourage other colleagues to submit talks on topics
pertinent to the call for submissions.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the organizing committee
before acceptance.
