Dear Maxima developers,

I would like to announce the first public release of MaxLoop, a Maxima =
package for symbolic calculations in particle physics:

The current stable release is MaxLoop v1.32.0.

MaxLoop is intended to provide symbolic tools for calculations involving =
scattering amplitudes and loop diagrams while remaining entirely within =
the Maxima environment. Its current capabilities include:

- Lorentz indices, metrics, vectors, and tensor contractions;
- scalar products and kinematic substitutions;
- noncommutative Dirac chains;
- Dirac traces and spinor completeness relations;
- polarization sums;
- utilities for constructing and simplifying squared amplitudes;
- dimensional-regularization expressions and extraction of UV poles and =
finite parts;
- symbolic infrastructure for Passarino=E2=80=93Veltman functions;
- analytic and numerical support for selected (A_0), (B_0), and (C_0) =
configurations.

The current version of MaxLoop is not (yet) a complete replacement of =
FeynCalc or Project X (the standard packages in the area) but it is a =
first step in this direction.


The repository includes a user guide, examples, regression tests, and =
separate smoke, standard, and full-audit test suites.

MaxLoop is free software distributed under the GNU General Public =
License, version 2 or, at your option, any later version =
(GPL-2.0-or-later).

This is a first public release, and several parts of the package are =
still under active development. In particular, general tensor reduction, =
arbitrary-mass (C_0) functions, (D_0) functions, automated diagram =
generation, and complete renormalized one-loop workflows are not yet =
fully implemented.

Comments, bug reports, suggestions concerning Maxima programming =
practices, and contributions would be very welcome. Issues may be =
reported through the GitLab repository.

I would also be grateful for any advice regarding the possible inclusion =
or listing of MaxLoop among external packages developed for Maxima.
