Hi Tochnogers,

After working for a long while with Tochnog I came to the point at which I have to use some contact between bodies. My surprise is that it isn't working (at least for me). It doesn't find contacts!. After trying with a complex model, I started with a simple ones, i.e the example from the manual. I modified the example 9 as Fernando Lorenzo mentioned at http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=2339568 .On the contrary to him, if I use the other direction [i.e. vely(-)] it works. However, if I use any other geometry (even a circle), it doesn't work anymore.

I was going through the mailing list and I found that in 2004 two bugs regarding the normal definitions were found (http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=297640 , http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=2339471) . Nevertheless, those corrections (in file geometry.cc) are not included in the files to download (are they up-to-date?). I did these modifications and compile it again, but it still not working.

I'm just getting nowhere, have anyone of you successfully created a 2D or 3D contacts with diverse types of geometries? Or where do you think the mistake lies?

Thanks so much,

Ferney
