Hello, As a part of my research project I'm trying to finish porting of L4-embedded microkernel on the PPC405 architecture. As a result Iguana is supposed to work on PEK405-compatibile platform. According to list archive and discussion in Dec'06 current state of this port is described as a 'half done'. So could you tell me if there is someone (Carl?;) who could state: - what exactly has been done? - what is still 'TODO'? - and what is the roadmap of activity? Even if nobody is currently working on this topic at lest rough concept exists for sure? I remember that PowerPC branch is not in the main flow for a moment, but if someone has more than rough idea about this concept it would be brilliant.\ For now I'm trying blind compilations to estimate what has left unimplemented... And I get following errors: - for some reasons some of macros in macros.h are not working properely or are not visible when machine=pek405: INC_ARCH(x) is interpreted as "arch/1/x" instead of "arch/powerpc/x" INC_CPU(x) is interpreted as "arch/1/405/x" instead of "arch/powerpc/ppc405/x" need to add here that compilation for machine=pc99 works fine- and all arch specific deps are solved well. I'm using current sources from cvs - pistachio--fix--1.2.6.1 Any ideas? The second thing (ppc specific) is the lack of defnition for ppc_segment_t... (report from compilation attached) Short look into source tree shows that this type was previously defined in the kernel/include/arch/powerpc/pghash.h and now is moved to kernel/include/arch/powerpc/old/pghash_old.h Why it has been removed - does ppc405 differ so much or is it that missing part of pek405 port? with best Regards ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fergie i jej biodra.... - zobacz >> http://link.interia.pl/f19ed
