I'd like to track our pets (3 tiny/small dogs and 1 cat). The cat is 17 lbs
and the dogs are 3.5, 10 & 11lbs each. We recently made a change to how we
server the cat's food and he really likes it, but it also gives the dogs
access to the special diet cat food.

I was thinking of placing an RFID chip on the dogs and a reader near the
cat food so that MH can tell on them while we're training them to keep
away. What kind of reader would work for this? I imagine placing the
reader under the floor where the dish usually sits, so needs to have a
reasonable range.

I'm thinking RFID since this could be used for other future projects as
well. Would love info on any other ideas, too.

Thanks!
