THX H I'd like to make a difference between the 'this is how you do it' pages from the 'this is how the code is documented', so for instance there would be pages on Tasmota and Sonoff that both referenced the MQTT.pm page As for sound, I use a mixture - the regular sounds that I have all the time (arming the alarm, goodnight etc.) i use pre-recorded wav files and play them with aplay, for anything where TTS is needed I use google. In both cases I have a couple of Pi Zeroes at opposite ends of the house running a small mqtt client that subscribes to a topic /cmnd/mhsounder/play which get a JSON payload like file=xxx.wav, test="this is some text" and off they go. The amps and speakers cost more than the Pi's G On 31/12/2020 15:34, H Plato wrote: > Hi Giles, > > Thanks for taking the initiative!
