Thanks - yes, I found "direct_control" config when I was working on it.
But I wanted a per-item option as some items are multistate or not good
for direct control as they would fight with automatic logic but are
nevertheless good to view, so I implemented a per-item "direct_control"
config, as well as the global one as the fall-back/default if no
individual value configure - this works well. I'm happy to share my
work as-is, but as I mentioned the drop-downs are rather more
complicated and so a WIP. I'm not ready to abandon IA5 until most of
the same functionality is available = drop-downs are a bit of a
showstopper for me. My config looks like (global value set to "yes"):
"objects" : {
"Study_PC" : {
"direct_control" : "no"
},
"study_heating" : {
"direct_control" : "no"
},
"living_heating" : {
"direct_control" : "no"
},
"upstairs_heating" : {
"direct_control" : "no"
},
"Hot_water" : {
"direct_control" : "no"
},
"Squeeze_Bed1" : {
"direct_control" : "no"
},
"Squeeze_Kitchen" : {
"direct_control" : "no"
},
"Squeeze_Living" : {
"direct_control" : "no"
},
"Squeeze_Study" : {
"direct_control" : "no"
},
"Alarm_scene" : {
"direct_control" : "no"
}
},
"prefs" : {
...
