It may be a bit more complicated than that, because Arabic is written right-to-left, while English is written left-to-right (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right-to-left). The standard Java Swing text widgets should be able to work with right-to-left text, but I am not sure if this works out of the box following system settings and whether left-to-right and right-to-left characters can be mixed in one text.
