comments in ipsvd-instruct?

is it really impossible to insert the customary "# ..." comments in
ipsvd instruction files?  i'm using the "-i /d/instructions" option to
"tcpsvd", which tells me this were not a legal comment and had to be
ignored.

if so, i'd like to see '#'-style comments as a new feature.
