Qconfirm Limitation

Hi,

Qconfirm is an interesting little system and we have been installing it on our
servers since we found out about it 3 months ago.

However, we found out recently major limitations that has shutdown some of our
users email service for more than 3 months now. The online documentation is a
little bit superficial and the example given were a little too basic to answer
our problems. This is such a shame because we really thought that this little
program was
going to save us from the enormous amount of spam we receive each day (10,000
servers connection a day, 30,000 spam messages a day)

Currently our system use qmail and we have the following scenario:

1. Multiple virtual domain names in the following control file as an example:
[virtualdomains]
domain1.com:domain1-com
domain2.org:domain2-org
...
-------EOF---------

2. One single mail user id [nobody] to run ALL the domain name with the
following control file in qmail as an example:
[assign]
=domain1-com-user1:nobody:99:99:/var/qmail/DOMAINS/domain1/user1:::
=domain1-com-user2:nobody:99:99:/var/qmail/DOMAINS/domain1/user2:::
...
=domain2-com-user1:nobody:99:99:/var/qmail/DOMAINS/domain2/user1:::
...
---EOF-----

3. The following is the .qmail file for each user who is using the qconfirm
option:
[.qmail]
|/usr/local/bin/qconfirm-check -d/var/qmail/DOMAINS/domain1/user1/.qconfirm
./Maildir/
----EOF----

4. Now, everything works fine until we receive the INITIAL confirmation
message.
When we reply, our reply to the "specific" qconfirm address get lost. It seems
that qconfirm is unable to reroute that email to the correct email address and
therefore the reply confirm message is lost and fails to "confirm" the
message.

5. Your only mention of virtual domain is through a specific virtual domain
user. We don't have a virtual domain user, we are using ALL our multiple
domains under ONE specific user (the generic method for virtual domain under
qmail)

6. Maybe what we are asking is impossible to accomplish with QCONFIRM but
since you have
worked on the design, maybe there is a trick you might have that would help us
out.

Great little program, very easy and simple to setup, if only we could make it
work under our "generic" virtual method.

Thanks,

Let me know,
