GNOME Shell extension not working

I just installed Workrave via the PPA for Ubuntu 14.04, but when I try to
enable it via the Tweak Tool, I see a triangle icon with an exclamation
point, and the tooltip for that icon reads "Error loading extension". Also,
if that extension is installed, GNOME takes significantly longer to load,
as if it's hanging on something. No Workrave applet appear in the top GNOME
"menu" bar.

Oddly enough, this PPA worked fine on my laptop's installation of Ubuntu
14.04. Not sure what broke.
