oh yes great idea!!
i usually have to use a gtk dark theme, because i like fullscreen block of input
it would be cool if the screen would darken or you can change the fullscreen background color independently (color chooser?)

users and Profiles !!
we could make use of user created profiles
i have different needs so i usually use something like this:
normal: 3min - 30 sec break
Reading at night: every 5min - 40 sec break
working on website: every 15min - 1 min break
working on spreedsheet: every 7min - 1 min break
watching videos: every 30min - 2 min break
then my dad when using the computer likes to have his own profile
very good ideas ideas, would these be too hard to implement?
workrave is already great, but sometimes can be bit annoying when having to constantly re-adjust timers (i find this can lead to RSI in itself! :o), these features would make it the best RSI prevention app ever!
