ok, thanks Rob for the reply
i will try to create an 'unofficial'/temp .deb installer, well, umm... once i remember how to compile again :O (i've gotten so used to easy installs with binaries in linux, a la "windows" that is hard to go back ;o)
i will also try to check with the maintainer to see if they can update it in the software center, or at least not forget it for the next ubuntu 11.04 release in april (but by then v1.9.3 might be out, so their package will outdated once again?....)
hmm, maybe it might be better for workrave just to get its own ppa / repository :)
