If I recall the postpone and skip buttons have been purposely disabled for keyboard input, for a long time. The intention (again, based on my recollection) was to prevent users who are in the middle of typing when a break window appears from inadvertently postponing, locking, skipping, etc. A solution is to keep the buttons without keyboard focus from creation , and then after several seconds allow keyboard focus. It is simple to implement. If I recall right I submitted a patch that did something like that (this was 2? years ago) but it didn't make the cut. Whenever I submitted something that didn't make the cut there was a usually very good reason, but I tend to agree that Workrave should be operable without a mouse.
